It is normal for many production lines to run into the same problems when it comes to processing tough materials such as granite, basalt, river pebbles, quartzite and other rock material.
Traditional crushing equipment's fine-reduction capability is so weak that making fine high quality aggregates is almost impossible.
This means a huge number of flaky and elongated particles in the crushed raw material can definitely be blamed for the material loss and decrease of its commercial value.
Changes in the particle size distribution will mean more burden to the screening and an increment of the circulating material, not to mention it will be very time-demanding as well.
The aforementioned issues do not only cause a decrease in the productivity of the production plant but also affect the quality and the profit of the end product.
To name but one of the top Gyratory Crusher manufacturers Sanland developed a set of crushing units of the STPP family which is especially suited for performing the operation of medium, superfine, and fine crushing; while placing a special emphasis on production of top-class aggregates.
Comparing the STPP series of crushing machines with traditional fine crushing apparatus, the STPP machines feature specifically-designed crushing chambers and larger grinding areas, altogether contributing to an enhanced fine crushing performance, higher cubic shape content, less flake-like products generation thus an overall higher product quality.
Sanland Gyratory Crushers STPP series also are equipped with Spring-loaded mechanical automatic overload protection system. When a hard object is accidentally fed in the crushing chamber through the openings, the spring system will release the pressure gradually in such a way that the jamming will cause no serious damage to any part of the main mechanism, especially the crushing parts.
A motor drives the eccentric sleeve to the point where it leads the moving cone to perform a continuous rotary movement.
The material which enters the crushing chamber is subjected to the following crushing actions:
1. Compression crushing
2. Abrasion
3. Crushing through the crushing of the material between one another
The crushed product is continuously passed from the top of the crusher to the bottom of the machine. The product discharge is done through the opening between the moving cone and fixed cone. The size of the product is primarily dictated through the adjustment of the gap between these two cones. In addition to that, the setting of the height of the grinding plate also affects the size of the product.
The parallel grinding zone which is much longer in this machine provides an effective material shaping which in turn produces a very excellent particle shape and a highly uniform product.

1. Designed for Premium Aggregate Production.
A primary use of the STPP series is for medium and fine crushing applications especially where high quality manufactured sand and premium aggregates are of demand.
The specially developed fine crushing chamber enhances the ability of the crusher to reduce materials efficiently even in the continuous operation without losing the quality of the product.
2. Superior Control on Final Particle Shape.
In comparison to the traditional fine crushers, it can significantly decrease the amount of flat particles and enhance the proportion of cube-shaped particles; as a result, the final product is able to satisfy the highest requirements regarding aggregate quality.

Saudi Arabian Limestone Elite Aggregate Production Project
Project Background
A Saudi-based company of aggregates in 2023, which mainly focused on fine crushing, changed or upgraded the stage in which the finest crushing took place so that the final aggregate product would have better properties.
The original equipment had quite a number of major flaws at the time of the upgrade:
The product was very fine aggregate full of very flat particles
Grain shape was not very good
Fine crushing by the machines is not very well done
Customer’s goal has been to raise the level of aggregates produced without lowering his productivity.
Project Results
Come operational, the machines were able to do:
Consistent final grain shape
Larger quantity of grains of the cubical types
A very well-conserved product
They confirmed through this work the Sanland fine breaking equipment capability in a very top-level aggregate production.
1. What is the STPP Gyratory Crusher classification, as primary or fine crushing machines?
As a rule, the STPP type of crusher is used for various crushing stages – coarse, fine, and even ultra-fine crushing, depending on the crusher size.
Such machines suit better the production of high-strength aggregates and sands, and are not quite suitable for initial coarse grinding.
2. What types of grain particles can be produced by using Sanland crusher at fine crushing stage.
This crusher has the optimized crushed cavity and parallel grinding zone.
By using the crushing method, in which inter-particle crushing effect is generated, the content of cubical particles can be significantly increased while the flaky particles in the final product can also be reduced.
