Sanland 800–1000 t/h Quartz Sandstone Crushing Plant Begins Production in Argentina

Shenyang Sanland Mining Equipment Manufacture Co., Ltd. has put a quartz sandstone crushing and screening plant into operation for a mining customer in Argentina. The plant is set up for high-volume aggregate production, with an operating capacity of about 800–1000 tonnes per hour.

The final material is separated into three sizes: 0–5 mm, 10–20 mm and 20–31.5 mm. These sizes are commonly used for concrete production, road construction, drainage work and other local infrastructure projects.

A Hard-Rock Job, Not a Routine Limestone Plant

Quartz sandstone may look like a simple aggregate material, but it is much harder on equipment than ordinary limestone. Once a plant is running close to 1,000 tonnes per hour, wear life and steady operation become just as important as rated capacity.

At this site, Sanland treated the project as an abrasive hard-rock application from the beginning. Feed control, crusher load, liner wear, screen efficiency and return material all had to be considered together before the process layout was finalized.

For the operator, the real question was not only whether the line could reach the required hourly output. The more practical question was whether it could keep producing at that level during normal shifts without constant adjustment.

How the Crushing Section Was Set Up

On site, the crushing work is shared across several stages. The primary crusher takes the first size reduction and prepares the stone for the downstream equipment. After that, the secondary and fine-crushing stages bring the material closer to the three required aggregate sizes.

Sanland did not try to push too much reduction through one machine. In a quartz sandstone plant, that approach can increase circulating load, raise wear cost and make daily operation harder to control. A staged arrangement gives the operator more room to adjust when the feed size or material condition changes.

The wear parts were also treated as a key part of the design. Jaw plates, cone liners and screen panels are not small details in this type of plant. They directly affect production stability, inspection intervals and the long-term cost of running the line.

Three Saleable Aggregate Sizes

The 0–5 mm product leaves the circuit as a fine material that can be used as manufactured sand, crusher fines or blended material for road sub-base. In actual operation, this fraction often needs close attention at the screens, especially when the feed contains dust or moisture.

The 10–20 mm product is aimed at concrete aggregate demand. It can be supplied to ready-mix concrete plants, precast producers and general construction projects.

The 20–31.5 mm product gives the customer a coarser aggregate option for road base, drainage layers and similar civil works. Having three finished sizes from one line also gives the operator more flexibility when local orders change.

What Matters After Commissioning

For a crushing plant of this scale, commissioning is only the first step. The real value is proven during normal production, when the equipment has to run shift after shift with stable output.

During operation, the customer will pay attention to crusher current, liner wear, screen performance, return load and final gradation. These are the details that decide whether a high-capacity plant is easy to operate in the long run.

Maintenance access was also considered in the plant arrangement. In hard-rock aggregate production, easier inspection and faster replacement of wear parts can make a clear difference to downtime and operating cost.

Supporting Aggregate Supply in Argentina

A crushing line in the 800–1000 t/h range gives the customer enough capacity to serve larger construction and mining-related projects. It also helps the operator maintain a steady supply of graded aggregate instead of depending on a single final product.

For Sanland, the Argentina project is another overseas reference in hard-rock crushing and screening. It shows the company’s ability to support customers with complete crushing equipment, screening equipment and related spare parts for aggregate production.
