SS440H Cone Crusher Completes Full-Load Factory Test Before Shipment to Saudi Arabia

2026-09-01

Shenyang, China – September 1, 2026 — A SS440H multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher has completed its pre-shipment full-load testing at the heavy-duty assembly and commissioning workshop of Shenyang Sanland Mining Equipment Manufacture Co., Ltd.

The cone crusher underwent approximately six hours of continuous operation during the factory test, with no abnormal conditions recorded. According to the current shipping schedule, the equipment is expected to be loaded for shipment to Dalian Port on September 15 and will then be delivered to a large limestone aggregate crushing site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The SS440H cone crusher will be used as part of the quarry’s cone crusher upgrade project. After the upgrade, the production capacity is planned to increase from approximately 200 tons per hour to 300 tons per hour. The required finished product sizes are 0–5 mm, 5–10 mm, 10–20 mm, and 20–31.5 mm.

Factory Testing Focused on Key Operating Parameters

During the six-hour test run, the technical team monitored the crusher’s main operating parameters throughout the process.

The recorded results included:

* Main motor current fluctuation: within ±5 A

* Lubricating oil outlet temperature: maintained between 42°C and 45°C

* Machine lubrication pressure: maintained at approximately 0.3 bar

The testing process was carried out according to the company’s pre-shipment inspection procedures. Each key item was checked and recorded by the workshop technicians before the cone crusher was cleared for shipment.

Zhang, a workshop technician who has worked in this position for 11 years, was responsible for checking the test records. He said that the team paid particular attention to the hydraulic and lubrication systems because stable operation of these systems is important for continuous crushing production.

Hydraulic Adjustment Designed for Limestone Crushing Operations

The SS440H cone crusher features a lamination crushing principle and an extended crushing chamber design. Compared with the previous spring cone crusher used for the project, the hydraulic configuration allows the crushing gap to be adjusted by changing the pressure settings of the locking and release cylinders.

For the Saudi limestone application, this means the discharge setting can be adjusted without stopping the crusher. Under the tested operating procedure, a single adjustment can be completed in less than three minutes, compared with approximately 15 minutes with the previous adjustment method.

The cone crusher was also tested with particular attention to the hydraulic protection system.

According to Ban Li, the after-sales engineer responsible for the project, the customer’s main concern during the early project discussions was frequent crusher overload and stalling of the existing equipment.

“We discussed the operating conditions with Mr. Abdullah, the production manager at the quarry, on two occasions before the cone crusher entered the testing stage,” Ban Li said. “Frequent stalling of the existing crusher was one of the problems they wanted to address with the upgrade.”

Before the factory test, the technical team repeatedly adjusted the hydraulic system pressure thresholds based on the project’s operating requirements. The tested iron-overload protection response time was reduced to within 0.2 seconds.

Technical Support Planned for the Riyadh Site

After the SS440H cone crusher arrives at the Riyadh limestone crushing site, Ban Li will travel to Saudi Arabia to work with the customer’s installation team.

The planned commissioning process will include foundation installation, no-load testing, and full-load testing. The Sanland team will also work with the site personnel to check the crusher’s operating parameters and hydraulic system settings during commissioning.

The completion of the factory test marks the next stage of the project, with the SS440H cone crusher now scheduled for shipment from China to Saudi Arabia. The equipment will subsequently be integrated into the quarry’s existing crushing system as part of the planned capacity upgrade from 200 t/h to 300 t/h.
