The Wet grid ball mill is a wet grinding machine widely used in mining mineral processing. As the drum rotates, steel balls and ore move together. Impact and grinding action further reduce the size of the coarse particles. A grate plate at the discharge end forces the slurry out in a controlled way.
This equipment is commonly used after crushing to grind the ore finer. It is one of the standard grinding machines in metal ore processing, building materials and chemical industries.
Traditional grinding operations often face unstable particle size control, fast liner wear, strong start-up impact and frequent maintenance of drive parts. These problems can cause production fluctuations and affect the next separation stages. A stable, durable and easy-to-maintain ball mill is key to continuous plant operation.
Targeted equipment improvements – The MQS Wet grid type ball mill optimizes the internal structure. The grate plate discharges qualified slurry quickly, strengthens grinding effect and keeps grinding fineness under better control.
Complete solution support – Combined with ore characteristics and capacity targets, we provide grindability analysis, process planning and model selection as a one-stop service.
Full-cycle technical support – Installation, commissioning and operator training are included to help the whole grinding system run steadily for a long time.

The Wet Type Grate Ball Mill uses a grate plate discharge structure. Finely ground slurry leaves the mill in time, which reduces over-grinding and helps keep the grinding density stable.
The machine has a proven drive system that can run continuously for long periods, making it suitable for large-scale grinding work in concentrators.
Different liner materials can be chosen according to ore hardness, abrasiveness and production requirements, which extends the service life of the equipment.
The large gear uses centralized lubrication. This cuts down the need for frequent manual maintenance and improves the reliability of the drive system.
Ore hardness, liberation size and production targets differ from mine to mine, so the ball mill configuration needs to match the actual site conditions. Sanland evaluates ore properties, processing capacity, grinding fineness and plant layout, then provides model selection, liner material recommendations, grinding flow design and supporting equipment plans.
The MQS Grate Ball Mill can be fitted with an automatic control system on request. It monitors running and lubrication status in real time, adjusts process parameters dynamically and sends fault alarms, making it easier for operators to find problems early and reduce unplanned downtime.
To keep the Wet grid ball mill running reliably for a long time:
Regularly check liner wear and arrange replacement according to the wear level.
Keep the lubrication system working properly and check oil temperature and pressure.
Inspect the meshing condition of the large and small gears.
Control the feed rate and avoid long-term overload.
Use the slow-drive device during maintenance to improve safety.
